Dear Barry,
Just to say a special thanks for all your support since I graduated in 2003.
I live and teach on the Costa Del Sol in Spain and my reputation has grown over these past 4 years I mainly teach single figure golfers but that is just the way word and mouth happens from teaching one person he or she is so satisfied that my phone number gets past on from person to person.
I always keep everything simple but what I'm trying to say is that the books and literature that you sent me in the beginning were and are invaluable,I would also like to add that anyone wishing to become a teaching pro should look no further than the PGTAA.Wishing yourself Barry your company and all fellow members good luck and my best wishes for the future VIVA THE PGTAA.

I recently graduated in June 2006 as a Class A Master Professional . Since graduating.......
I was hired as the Head teaching Pro at the only Par 3 Course in my town on Cape Cod.
I was given the opportunity to teach at a 27 hole championship course on Cape Cod, with great facilities.
I was offered opportunities to teach at local driving range facilities as well.
At the end of the summer I was lucky enough to be honored with the Friends of the Fairway award representing my town East Falmouth, Ma. This award was given by the Mass State Lottery partnered with the Deutsch Bank Classic (which Tiger won in Norton). The Award was for " Recognizing 351 extraordinary citizens that have made a difference in community through teaching golf and sport". I thank you for this great course, and top notch material. Now I'm really doing something I love.
This is because I strictly give golf lessons just like I've always wanted.
All my day is spent teaching, not in a clubhouse. I am my own boss ,with my own clients. I have a personal relationship with all my clients as well, which makes you more than just a swing doctor, but a mental coach , and I love that. I never thought this was possible for a career in golf instruction, until I found the PGTAA.
The PGTAA teaches you everything from: scheduling lessons, setting rates, teaching the fundamentals of the swing, advertising, marketing, and how to conduct yourself in a successful , professional manner. There is so much valuable information inside this certification, that you will to succeed if you want to.
All of your great material on Advertising,Marketing, and golf instruction have prepared me for success since day one. All the books are gold, and I refer to them to this day to strengthen my business , and to make necessary improvements, when and where I need too. Also, I've noticed a lot of great golf articles written by Dr.Lotz' lying around the clubhouse, and in the stores. I can see why this is a top notch association, because he is a top notch contributor to the golf world.
I honestly couldn't be a happier, prouder member of the PGTAA and I am glad to spread the word.

Subj: Professional recognition of Mr. Sonny Gibbs
Mr. Sonny Gibbs, who is a friend and associate of my family, was my primary coach during the critical development stages of my golf swing. This took place between the ages of 10-13. Sonny has also provided off/on assistance with helping me with my swing, putting, and helping me keep the mental side sharp as I visited him even now from time-to-time in between playing competitively. He has been an instrumental coach and friend to me, and a superb golf coach, a vital golf professional who spearheads junior golf development here on Okinawa, Japan.

Dear Dr. Lotz,
I have recently accepted a position as Club Manager with the West Point Country Club in West Point, VA. I will be able to utilize my teaching and golf management skills that I gained from your organization.
Thank you very much!

The study the PGTAA provided was very comprehensive and clear.
As a cardiologist in a teaching hospital I really know what is good; and this is good!
Thanks for your E-mail supports. Good luck with your work for the PGTAA.

I wanted to give you an update on what is happening with my teaching after
the two months I have been instructing. You are welcome to use as a
testimonial.
I am working at the largest golf school in my home state, which has four
facilities and short game areas at each location. I have done two week long
junior camps, several multi week adult beginners classes, intermediate
classes, and many new individual and semi private lessons. The head
professional and school owner called me in to his office to say that every
survey he has received on my performance has been "Excellent" from the
customers. I believe the course instruction from the PGTAA has allowed me to
get this prestigious position and become a good instructor. Thank you for
your support and I welcome anyone contacting me to discuss how this
organization can make dreams come true!

The home study
course I found to be very informative. I have
been around golf for the past 41 years in different
facets of the game. Until you decide to actually
teach the game do you realize how little you
know the complexity of the golf swing and golf
swing mechanics. The Home study course did a
great job teaching how to deal with the many
situations the instructor would encounter and
different approaches to correct problems. Since
there are many methods and methodologies of
teaching golf, the course trains the instructor
to develop teaching methods that covers more
then one approach to instruction. The final
objective is to have your students improve their
golf game, and I believe this course has given
me the tools to do this and improve my own abilities.
Learning about the evolution
of golf, golf equipment and techniques has helped
me understand how to develop methods for becoming
a great instructor and allow my students the
best instruction they can get. I realize I will
never know the gratification that comes from
winning a major tournament on tour but if I
can start a student in the right direction that
they may someday know the feeling I have accomplished
my job.

Here is a quick update on things
in my neck of the woods. I am giving private
lessons and teaching at the University of North
Florida, I'm involved and teach at the First

to help under privileged children learn the
game of golf. My current job, Edwin Watts Golf,
superstore of Jacksonville. I am part of the
management staff controlling all facets of the
business and the in house certified master teaching
professional. Thanks again Barry, all this was
made possible with your help four years ago.
If I can help you please let me know.

It has been
a few months since my successful completion
of the PGTAA curriculum and I can't say thank
you enough. The PGTAA certification in a very
short time has helped to validate my efforts
towards accomplishing greater things in the
game of golf. My overall goal remains to become
a collegiate golf coach and I am currently pursuing
multiple opportunities with enormous hope as
well as confidence. Again, thank you!
The PGTAA is
without question the preeminent golf instruction
certification program and I am proud to be a
member and graduate! Thank you, Dr. Lotz!

I have been a member of the
PGTAA for a number of years and I have found
the home study course of great benefit to my
teaching and I would say that it is the next
best option to becoming PGA pro.
The
cost is $995 for the home study course: I had
to shoot an 83 on any course which I did on
the senior tour, so that was no problem and
any pro should be able to do that, I also had
to do a test on 101 questions regarding teaching
skills which was no problem as well. I received
a lot of ongoing support from Dr. Barry Lotz,
the president of the PGTAA!
I am sure with your golfing
knowledge you should have no problems in passing
the course and from which I am sure, you will
receive great and many benefits!

Thanks
to the PGTAA and its instructors, I have achieved
a dream of a lifetime. After many successful
years in the contracting and business environment,
I decided to pursue my passion of golf.
At 53 and with a fairly solid
game, I decided to pursue becoming a teaching
professional. I have always enjoyed helping
youths on the driving range. After researching
various golf schools I selected the PGTAA to
pursue my teaching certificate.
My selecting the PGTAA proved
to be my smartest move in my golf instructing
desires. Currently, I'm the head golf instructor
at Brazell's Creek Golf Course, a state operated
facility with strict guidelines.
Several of my students are
Junior High and High School students on golf
teams. Just recently my High School male student
and female student qualified in the number one
slots and to date are the top two players. I
credit this not to my abilities but to the excellent
instructors program offered by PGTAA.
Thanks to the PGTAA Teaching
program my dream of golf has come to pass. When
the PGTAA requested permission to use my success
as testimonial, I was honored to do so. My success
is small since I really have just begun. I'm
adding students daily and rely greatly on my
PGTAA materials to guide me and help me grow
as an instructor.
Should your desires be to pursue
golf instructing as a profession, take it from
me, let the PGTAA be your golf instructor's
school of choice. Upon completion of my course
with the PGTAA I was teaching students.
I'm truly proud and honored
to be one of the many PGTAA members. Come join
us for an exciting and wonderful career.
